Ärger bei Nexus 4 Bestellungen: Google UK-Chef Entschuldigung

Der Nexus 4 Verkaufsstart war ja sehr holprig. Und das nicht nur bei uns, überall auf der Welt gab es Probleme, dass Android Smartphone Nexus 4 zu bestellen. Auch beim zweiten Versuch ging es recht schnell, bis die Lager wieder leer waren. Das es nicht optimal lief, dass hat Google wohl selbst auch schon längst mitbekommen.

Das Nexus 4 ist so begehrt, dass Google und LG nicht hinterherkommen, genügend Android Nexus Devices zu produzieren und die Lager wieder aufzufüllen. Nicht nur wir hier hatten das Problem, dass die Server bei Google in die Knie gingen wegen der hohen Nachfrage. Auch auf der Insel sah es nicht anders aus, auch hier hatten die Nexus 4 Kaufwilligen mit der Technik zu kämpfen.

Nun sah sich endlich der Chef von Google UK dazu veranlasst, sich bei allen, die Probleme bei der Bestellung und dem Erhalt des Nexus 4 hatten, offiziell zu entschuldigen. Eine nette Geste, mehr aber auch nicht. Wohl nicht nur für mich ist immer noch unverständlich, wie bei Google, immerhin größte Suchmaschine der Welt mit Milliarden Anfragen pro Tag, die Server in die Knie gehen konnten. Das ist ein Mysterium, welches Google schnellstmöglich untersuchen sollte. Aber hier nun der Wortlaut der Entschuldigung:

"Dear all

I know that what you are going through is unacceptable and we are all working through the nights and weekends to resolve this issue. Supplies from the manufacturer are scarce and erratic, and our communication has been flawed. I can offer an unreserved apology for our service and communication failures in this process.

For those that originally received a 3-5 days shipping estimate, your orders are now in process for fulfillment. You can expect an email notification early this week which will include tracking information. Although you will be initially charged in full, you will receive a credit for the shipping charge soon after.

For others that received pre-Christmas shipping estimates, we anticipate processing your orders for fulfillment this week.

I realise that the people who ordered the Nexus 4 so early are among our most committed and loyal users and we are doing all we can to put things right.
